Adventures in Eating: San Diego {The Mission}

After a late night out into the wee hours of the morning, I was ready to get something to eat. By the time we all got moving, it was almost lunch, but also the perfect time to head over to the Mission. This place usually has an insane wait, but we didn’t have to wait too long this visit which was good since we were starving.

I usually order the zen breakfast with braised tofu, brown rice, and zucchini (hold the egg whites), but this day the soy chorizo and potatoes were calling my name. So glad I tried something new because the potatoes were really good. We also tried the chilaquiles and tamale and eggs. Although we all got coffee, the Mission does make a very good mocha.

During the warm months, get here early or be prepared to wait quite a while. I’m not much of a breakfast person, but this is one of the few places in SD where I am willing to wait it out.
