Cinnamon Morning Buns

A while back I was watching Cook’s Country on an amazing day when I had some free time to watch tv. Can I just tell you something? Cook’s Country always hooks me in and there is at least something I feel I MUST try. Enter these glorious morning buns. Ahhhhh…. It took about 2 seconds to decide that after the show ended, I would make a batch for us to enjoy the next morning with our coffee.

Perhaps I was overeager and took on a bit more than I could handle. It was late in the day when I finally got cracking on the recipe so this was completed in 2 days instead of one. Not to worry since the buns rested overnight in the fridge and pulled out for an hour or so for a final rise and bake. Not too shabby. Freshly baked morning buns + coffee= ready for the day.

If you’re having house guests or brunch, these are a great option for dazzling said guests. Just make sure you have ample time to prep them up to the cutting and placing in muffin tins. After that, cover with plastic wrap and leave in the fridge overnight. The next morning, all you have to do is pull them out of the fridge, let them rise, and bake off. Easy and done.
