Last week, while scrolling through one of my favorite websites and daydreaming about all the recipes I’d like to try, kitchen remodeling ideas to note, marathon cooking sessions for make ahead meals, I zeroed in on the hummus recipe. Why? Two reasons. 1) it was quick and easy, my two favorite things and 2) I LOVE HUMMUS. Why had I not made it before? Let’s just say I’ll blame it on
laziness the inability to track down tahini. Remember this post? While I was buying up bags of dried chiles and feta cheese, I also remembered to snag a bottle of organic tahini. That poor bottle got lost in the chaos of the kitchen remodel and emerged shortly before the weekend. So when I stumbled upon this basic recipe for hummus, I was super excited that I already had all ingredients at home.
*I adapted the recipe slightly by adding fresh chopped parsley, 1 tsp sumac and 1 tsp aleppo pepper.
