I need my coffee in the morning. It used to be that I needed my cup of green tea to get the morning started. After a trip to Argentina where there was no green tea and no mochas to be had, I got used to drinking coffee. It didn’t take long before I was hooked on black coffee with a scant sprinkling of sugar. Nothing gets done before my morning coffee is made. I also like to have a little something sweet to munch on while enjoying said coffee. Enter this excellent recipe found here for the perfect breakfast bread.

This was made in the afternoon, so I thought a glass of milk was more appropriate for this snack. Trust me, a few slices of this cake wrapped in waxed paper or parchment and this is a ready made breakfast to go with your morning coffee, tea, or espresso. It also makes a great midday snack.
