In addition to the sweet momotaro’s growing in the garden, we also have some San Marzano’s. I have 3 reasons to be excited about this: 1) After the ladies (chickens) ate the previous ones, we finally have some to try for ourselves, 2) They are delicious, 3) There are few things better than the satisfaction of growing your own food.
We’ve been making good use of the grill on these warm days. After all, the fleeting thought of turning on the oven or even the stove makes me sweat. Grilled pizzas topped with healthy ingredients are an great hot weather option.
These are our shishito peppers. They are awesome grilled. The red ones are burn your mouth hot. After an unsuccessful last year, we finally have a hearty plant that produces an abundance of these guys. Can’t get enough.
