Our second day began with a nice walk with the little guys, some coffee, and much needed relaxation. What to do next? Head to Jerome, of course! But before we did that, there was some wine tasting to be done in Page Springs. Arizona has a fledgeling wine industry that will only get better. The wine route and tasting rooms are few and condensed on one road. You can count them on one hand. The great thing about the wine scene there is that it’s very easy going and you get the feeling people are there for fun. It’s so not uptight or too serious. A no hassle tasting was just what we needed and a stroll through the vineyard grounds in the brisk air energized us for the drive up the hill to Jerome.
I love Jerome for it’s quiet and winding streets, unique shops, and interesting locals. We happened to go on the weekend of their art walk and so we returned the next evening to experience the festivities. We met some local artists and learned about tape art and the process of creating an etching, start to finish.
